The municipal infant/toddler centers and preprimary schools of Reggio Emilia use a great amount of natural and recycled materials in their classrooms. Teachers in Reggio Emilia obtain these materials from a creative recycling resource center called Remida. Here in New Mexico we are lucky enough to have our own Reggio-inspired creative recycling center for teachers and families to use. The Wemagination Center is run by the UNM Family Development Department. After attending a free 2 hour training called a play orientation, teachers and families with young children can purchase a membership that allows them to buy classroom materials for an unbelievably cheap cost. The center also provides a great amount of information and free professional development about to how Reggio Inspired individuals can use these materials with young children.

Call to get more information or to sign up for a play orientation training.
